About The Trip
Nagarkot is by far from the most favoured hill station in the Kathmandu Valley. Nagrakot is a popular Tourist destination in Nepal. Nagarkot is situated 32 KM east of kathmandu at an altitude of 2175 masl. There are various places around the edge of kathmandu valley which offer great mountaion views. No other place in the valley is so ideal like this serene place for savouring the splendors of the great himalayas stretching from the annapurna massif in the far west to mt. kanchanjunga in far east. There are some historically and religiously important temple and building, such as Mahave Pokhari, just below the tower, where people in around the valley mostly flock to during Jani Purmina, kali Devi Temple, mahanka Panchakanya Temple, Jalpa Devi and Remboche Gomba – a buddhist monastery. The two historical cave chamero Gufa and Raksi Gufa are the other attractions for the Tourist and Nepalese alike. A pilgrimage to nagarkot will nearly always be rewarded with a view between October and March, but one will be very lucky to catch more than glimpse through the clouds of some snow-capped mountains in the June to September monsoon period.
